Dear Zach,
Daddy has been saying since the very first day you were born that you need a haircut. You see, you had the cutest little head of hair at birth but the little bits around your ear needed a little trim. I absolutely refused to let your father cut your hair. Most of that hair fell out anyway. But boy….Boy ohhhh boy…..Did that hair come back with a vengeance!!
Your hair is so cute. It curls in the back even though it hangs now down over your collar. And despite our best efforts to part you hair to the side it seems determined to always be hanging right in your eyes.
So we did what needed to be done. Off to Snip-Its we went! You were amused by all the colors and tv’s and toys and bubbles and the hairdresser was SO quick and SO good with you that it was over and done with before we even knew what happened. And it was relatively painless for Mommy too. I didn’t even cry! Of course, we saved some of the hair in a little baggy and I’m sure I’ll look back on it from time to time.
So your curls are all gone….and you look so grown up….and I’m pretty sure you know it.
