Dear Zach,
When you were born, I wanted to plant something that would grow alongside you. I thought blueberry bushes would be a good idea. So we went to the garden center and bought four little bushes. They’re only a couple feet tall now, but when you’re a little older, these will be nice and big and we’ll be able to pick fruit together in the summer.
Mom took you outside to watch while I worked on digging up the grass and making a spot for them.

I hope you grow up liking blueberries (unlike mom)!
Love,
Dad
